Antiwar.com founder and editor Justin Raimondo has succumbed to lung cancer at age 67.
Rest in peace.
- Often overlooked is Raimondo’s early participation in the Libertarian Party, particularly his co-founding of the Radical Caucus in 1979. He ran for office as a member of the party twice including a 1982 run for California’s fifth district in the U.S. House of Representatives in which he received 14.2% of the vote.
- In 2004, I briefly considered re-electing President George W. Bush, but in a moment of clarity, I voted for Ralph Nader after reading Justin Raimondo’s piece “Old Right Nader” in The American Conservative posted November 8, 2004.
- Raimondo supported Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
